Healing every part of you

IFS-Informed EMDR for the parts that still feel stuck.

Part of you wants to heal. Part of you isn't so sure.

Maybe you've done therapy before and understand your trauma intellectually, but something still feels stuck.

Maybe there's a part of you that protects you by staying guarded, and another part that's exhausted from carrying old pain.

Maybe you've noticed you react in ways that don't feel like "you", and you're not sure why.

That's not a flaw. That's just how the mind protects itself. And it's possible to work with those parts instead of against them.

What is IFS-Informed EMDR?

IFS-Informed EMDR blends Internal Family Systems (IFS) with EMDR, two evidence-based approaches that work beautifully together.

IFS helps you understand the different "parts" of yourself: the protector that keeps you guarded, the part that holds old pain, the part that just wants to feel safe.

EMDR helps those parts process and release what they've been holding onto.

Together, this means you don't just process a memory. You build a relationship with yourself that makes healing feel safer and more sustainable.

IFS-Informed EMDR can help you with:

  • Complex or developmental trauma

  • Chronic self-criticism or shame

  • Feeling "stuck" despite previous therapy

  • Difficulty trusting yourself or your emotions

  • Parts of you that feel at odds with each other

  • People-pleasing, perfectionism, or fawning patterns

  • A sense of disconnection from your true self

If you've ever thought, "I know this logically, but I still feel this way," this approach is built for exactly that gap.

What this looks like at Healing Current Trauma Therapy:

Sessions are collaborative and paced with curiosity, not urgency.

Together, we'll get to know the different parts of you, not to eliminate them, but to understand what they're protecting and what they need. From there, EMDR helps those parts move through what they've been holding, so you can access more calm, clarity, and self-trust.

This is gentle work, but it's deep work. You're never rushed, and you're always in the driver's seat.

Why telehealth therapy?

I offer IFS-Informed EMDR therapy via telehealth across Massachusetts & Rhode Island, so you can access this work from a space that already feels safe and familiar.

I work especially well with:

  • 2SLGBTQQIA+ clients

  • Survivors of complex or developmental trauma

  • Highly sensitive and neurodivergent individuals

  • Clients who feel "at war" with parts of themselves

  • Adults exploring gender, sexuality, and identity

  • People navigating anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation

  • People wanting a body-based approach to healing trauma that talk therapy alone hasn't reached

"Therapy doesn't have to be cold or clinical. I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen and safe enough to be ourselves."

You don't have to silence any part of yourself to heal.

Every part of you got you here for a reason, even the parts that feel hard to like.

Let's get curious about them together.
