Some things live in the body, not just the story.
You've told the story a hundred times. You understand what happened, and maybe even why.
But your body still braces. Your chest still tightens. Something still feels unfinished, even when the words run out.
That's not a failure of talk therapy. It just means some trauma isn't stored in language. It's stored in the nervous system, and it needs a different approach to reach it.

What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a gentle, body-based therapy that works with where you look to access where trauma is held in the brain and nervous system.
Certain eye positions, or "brainspots," connect to areas where unprocessed trauma and emotion are stored. By holding focus on a brainspot while staying attuned to your body, you can access and release what's been stuck, often without needing to talk through every detail.
It's slower, quieter work than traditional talk therapy, and for many people, that's exactly what makes it effective.
-
PTSD and complex trauma
-
Chronic anxiety or a nervous system stuck "on alert"
-
Trauma that feels hard to put into words
-
Medical trauma, chronic pain, or chronic illness
-
Grief and loss
-
Performance anxiety or creative blocks
-
Body-based tension, bracing, or numbness
If your body holds onto things your mind has already tried to make sense of, Brainspotting works with what talk alone hasn't reached yet.
What Brainspotting looks like at Healing Current Trauma Therapy:
Sessions are slow, attended, and led by you.
We'll find a brainspot together, often related to a felt sense in your body rather than a specific memory, and hold gentle focus there while I track what comes up for you: sensations, emotions, images, or simply stillness.
You don't need to narrate your trauma in detail for this work to be effective. Your body already knows the way through.

People wanting a body-based approach to healing trauma that talk therapy alone hasn't reached
"Therapy doesn't have to be cold or clinical. I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen and safe enough to be ourselves."
You don't need the perfect words to heal.
Some things were never meant to be explained, only released.
Let's find where your healing is ready to happen.
